Haven’t heard of ‘em?  Time to get with the program; it’s now 2009 and this band was the best band you never heard of in 2008.

Comprised of two Brooklyn based twenty-something studio rats; these guys spooned out a large serving of Prince flavored jam with a dollop of Psychedelia Pop on top.  Word on the street is that they’ve been back in the studio working on an Epic 2nd full length LP following their breakout album Oracular Spectacular.

MGMT is: Andrew Vanwyngarden and Ben Goldwasser, two psychic pilgrims whose paths first intersected in the green pastures of Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, circa 2002.
