Regular readers may have noticed the new banner ad on the site recently.  As of now, that's the only "directly recommended" advertising I've allowed on this site.  There's been lots of talk in the blogosphere lately regarding sponsored posts and blog promoted direct and indirect marketing and advertising.  I prefer to present an impartial and personalized take on items and news that I hope may be of interest to readers out there.  But....I'm going off topic here a bit.
